24-Hour Shelter Program offered at DESC's The Gateway
Offers overnight emergency shelter at two Seattle locations: Mary Pilgrim Inn and The Gateway, both in North Seattle. Shelters are for both men and women. Clients are housed in rooms, which are sometimes shared, and some meals are provided. The main shelter also offers the following services: - Onsite medical care - Mental health counseling - Substance use disorder treatment

Application process
Call shelter and ask for a form to be emailed, or visit the Administration Office at 515 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98104 in person starting at 9:30am to fill out form for any available shelter spots. Professional and self-referrals are accepted. Referrals are based on vulnerability and may take some time.

Eligibility
- Anyone ages 18 and older who is vulnerable due to mental illness, developmental disability, substance use disorder and/or medical condition. Must be able to perform self-care, such as showering and toileting, without assistance. Accepts offenders, including those with sex offenses. Service animals accepted on a case-by-case basis, by approval of Executive Director.
