Early Childhood Program at Olympia School District
Offers a variety of Early Childhood programs, serving children up to Kindergarten age. Most programs are at no-cost, and provide several supports to the family. Screening: Offers free developmental screenings on an on-going basis throughout the school year. Children with Special Needs: Offers developmental evaluation in cognition, communication, motor, social and adaptive skills. Students who qualify for specially designed instruction may receive support from special education preschool teachers, speech/language therapists, occupational/physical therapists, and other specialists based on the child's needs. Provides preschool. No tuition for preschool students with special needs. Infant Toddler Program Provides services to children with developmental delays between birth and age 3. Serves children living in district boundaries and their families. Program options can include home visits, Toddler Groups, therapy appointments and parenting education programs. Preschool Programs Offers preschools at several elementary schools. Some spots are reserved for Non-Disabled Peers.
