Provides a community summer day camp for kids with special needs, offering opportunities to build friendships and participate in constructive activities in the community. The camp also offers respite for parents while participants engage in supervised, enriching experiences. Camp sessions run weekly throughout the summer, and kids may attend one week or all eight.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Commitment to supporting children with developmental disabilities.
- Minimum age of 11 (volunteers ages 18 and older must pass a Washington State Patrol background check.)
- One‑week minimum commitment.
- Ability to follow directions and assist in group activities.
- Attendance at Partner ’n Pals volunteer orientation.
- Completion of the volunteer packet.
- Engage with an assigned partner or group.
- Support camper participation.
- Communicate and collaborate with staff.
- Help maintain camper safety.
- Stay informed of daily updates.
- Provide their own transportation.
