- Must be a home owner. Currently unable to serve renters. - Located in service area: South Seattle, Central District, White Center, Skyway/Bryn Mawr, Renton, Bellevue (applicants would need to apply directly with the City of Bellevue), Glendale and Federal Way service areas, as well as all of Kittitas County. (CAPABLE is available throughout King County). - Household income qualified at 80% AMI. - Current homeowner’s insurance policy - Repairs must be related to health and safety and/or preservation of the home. We do not assist with cosmetic or emergency repairs. - CAPABLE has an age requirement of 60+ years, our general repair program does not have an age requirement.

Minor Home Repairs are subject to a one-time $50 program fee per project. Critical Home Repairs are subject to a deferred, 0% loan for the cost of the work done. Homeowners with a reverse mortgage or those who own a manufactured home on leased land are subject to a one-time $100 program fee per project instead of a loan. CAPABLE program is at no cost to qualified applicants.

Provides critical and minor home repairs that alleviate health and safety issues for qualified homeowners in King and Kittitas Counties. Also offers CAPABLE program to help older adults live safely in their home by partnering an Occupational Therapist and Registered Nurse together to set goals with the homeowner to achieve in a 4-5 month period. A handy-worker can potentially be involved to make minor repairs and modifications based on the goals set.
