Family Shelter offered at REACH Center of Hope

Provides emergency shelter services in an open congregate setting to families with children as well as unhoused single women. Offers breakfast, dinner, and snacks. Staff works with families to help children maintain stability in school/education. Provides: - Clothing, diapers and personal hygiene items - Transportation to shower facilities. -Temporary case management and referrals to local resources and services. Partners with area organizations to offer additional services.

Hours

Shelter Intake by appointment : M-F, 8:30-10:30am. Shelter Operation Hours: Saturday-Monday 6pm-7:30am. Tuesday-Friday 24 hours

Application process

Call for intake. Intake appointments are available in the mornings and early afternoons. Clients must complete intake, including background check, to stay at the shelter. Intakes may not always be completed the same day.

Eligibility

Families of all genders who have children as well as unhoused single women. . No age restrictions for children. Can serve women fleeing domestic violence. Prioritizes those from the Renton area, but serves homeless women throughout King County.   Accepts those with a criminal record on a case-by-case basis. Performs background checks. Service animals accepted; must provide proof/documentation.

Serves as a mailing address and provides computer and phone access. Operates nightly shelters for women and women with children as well as two-parent families and single-parent men with children. Offers case management and housing navigation.  Partners with area organizations to offer additional services.
