Women's Shelter offered at DESC's Kerner-Scott House Women's Shelter

DESC provides transportation to the shelter from the Women's Referral Center.

Eligibility

Women, ages 18 and older experiencing homelessness, particularly those living with mental health condition. Case manager referral required. Does not accept those that have a sex offense.

Hours

7:30pm to 8am (overnight) from Monday through Sunday

Operates a nightly shelter for 25 adult women with mental illness. Program offers beds, pillows, linens and blankets. Continental breakfast is provided in the morning.  DESC staff pick up clients in the evening, and return them in the morning.
