Snohomish County households seeking affordable permanent housing, but are unable to secure the desired housing due to poor histories, including nuisance, unpaid rent (unlawful detainer), judgments and other lease violations.

Description

Supports renters who have problematic rental histories through training and one-on-one assistance in identifying what in their history is preventing them from obtaining housing and create a plan to address the past, start fresh, and initiate a positive rental history. By participating in a two-to-three-hour training, clients will receive a customized training in Landlord/Tenant Laws, an overview of what Landlords screen for in a tenant, soft skills on how to resolve conflict constructively and a "Tool Box" of resources to assist tenant in successfully obtaining housing.
