Eligibility

Youth ages 14-19 who are interested both in community projects serving Asian and Pacific Islander populations and in outdoor recreational activities.

Hours

9am to 5pm from Monday through Friday

Offers young people opportunities to experience outdoor recreation and skill-building while combining such experiences with community leadership.  With skills gained, youth conduct community projects that address needs specific to the Asian and Pacific Islander communities, especially relating to environmental justice.   Outdoor activities include rock-climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, eagle watching and more.  Community projects fulfill high school community service requirements and identify young people as community leaders. Some work is paid and may lead to summer employment.
