Eligibility

Veteran families and individuals living on the streets, in vehicles, or in emergency shelters as well as those at risk of losing housing within 30 days. Must have served in the active military, naval, or air service and not received a dishonorable discharge Must be currently residing in King, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Lewis, Wahkiakum, or Cowlitz counties and be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income.

Focus Population

  • Veterans
Connects veteran families and individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing housing to permanent housing through tailored housing stability plans. May offer:
  • Short-term financial assistance
  • Supportive services
  • Longer-term shallow subsidies
Assists clients in finding market-rate rental units in their county. Clients must work with their case manager to develop a plan for assuming responsibility for their rent. Does not own or sub-lease units and has no direct access to subsidized or low-income units.
