Traffic Infractions at King County District Court in Auburn

Handles non-criminal traffic infractions; no jail sentence may be imposed.  A person who has been issued a notice of traffic infraction must respond within 15 days of the date the notice was issued.  In responding, the defendant may choose to do one of the following:  -  Admit the commission of the infraction and pay the prescribed penalty -  Admit the commission of the offense but request a hearing to explain mitigating circumstances -  Request a hearing to contest the commission of the infraction
