Overnight Shelter offered at Catholic Community Services Southwest - Pierce County - Nativity House

Single men or women, age 18 years or older, experiencing homelessness. Only pets who are ESA or registered as support animals are allowed.
Overnight Shelter: Daily first come first serve at 5pm, staff will announce if beds are or are not available.

First time guests complete a registration form, take a shower and are assigned a sleeping location. If the shelter has no openings, guests will have to return the following day to check in to see if any beds became available. Each guest receives a "welcoming interview" the first day. Guests keep the same bed as long as they come on consecutive nights, by check in time and follow shelter policy.

Description

Provides a safe place where men and women experiencing homelessness who obtain a bed can receive: - a meal, - hygiene items, - clothes, - mental health treatment, - a good night's sleep, - respect, and - opportunities to develop affirming and empowering relationships with staff, and begin a realistic process of generating income and becoming housed. Can hold up to 167 people. Has about 117 men's beds and 50 women's beds.
