Flagship Class offered at Building Beyond the Walls

Open to those 16 and older. Because the program is free it attracts people from all demographics. Also accept participants who have physical disabilities, and modifies equipment to accommodate their needs.

Applications are online, or call the office. Participants agree to give 50 hours back to the community, and report those hours to Building Beyond the Walls.

Description

Offers free construction training. 7 Saturday classes. Participants learn the basic skills of construction while building a small structure for a community organization in need. Participants agree to give 50 hours back to their community in exchange for the free training. During the class, community organizations bring lunch to class to share what they do in the community and how participants could volunteer with them. Focus on building community through service.
