To be eligible, the family must first meet the federal income poverty guidelines of 150% or below. Benefit amount will be based on family size, income, and usage history. Services are available to households on a first come, first service basis. Must live within the Upper Yakima Valley (including Yakima, West Valley, Terrace Heights, Moxee, Tieton, Cowiche, Wiley City, Tampico, Gleed, and Naches) or in Grant and Adams counties.

Description

Provides financial assistance for Upper Yakima Valley, Grant, and Adams counties residents in the form of a voucher to assist qualifying households at or below the federal poverty guidelines to offset household’s energy burden. This program assist eligible individuals with various heating sources including electric, gas, oil, wood pellet, and propane.
