Description

Official emergency notification system used by the city of Seattle to communicate with city residents during emergencies.   Disseminates alerts from the city via text message, email, voice message or social media. Residents can also opt to receive customizable community notifications.  These include notifications about severe weather, safety, health, utility disruptions, major traffic incidents, and more.

City of Seattle's Office of Emergency Management

Provides community emergency preparedness information and educational programs, develops disaster plans and conducts routine trainings and emergency exercises. Responds to disasters in the city of Seattle, such as weather events, urban flooding, earthquakes or acts of terrorism. Operates the city's Emergency Operation Center and facilitates disaster assistance.
