Seattle Municipal Court Probation Services works with individuals sentenced to probation following conviction or other disposition of misdemeanor offenses, including domestic violence, theft, trespassing, assault, and DUI. The department monitors compliance with court-ordered conditions and supports individuals in meeting requirements such as mental health and substance use disorder treatment, monitoring conditions and reporting obligations, while providing timely compliance information to the Court.
Probation Services also supports specialized and therapeutic court programs (Mental Health Court, Veteran’s Treatment Court, Domestic Violence Intervention Project), and coordinates with community service providers. Through this work, the department supports individuals’ on-going stability and successful completion of probation.
