Coordinates and leads the efforts within the community to preserve the public peace, protect the rights of persons and property, prevent crime, and generally provide assistance to citizens in urgent situations. The police department is made up of eleven commissioned police officers, one code enforcement officer and two office staff.
The department is responsible for the enforcement of all federal laws, Washington State laws, and city ordinances within the boundaries of the City of Omak.
