Eligibility

Individuals with autism, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome and ADHD living in Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln, Whitman, and Pend Orielle counties.

Application process

Submit a weighted blanket application online. Must pick up the completed blanket or lap pad at the office.

Fees

$10-40 depending on size. Previous award recipients may trade in their current blanket/lap pad for a heavier product with return of previous item for free.

Provides weighted blankets and lap pads to those with disabilities. Blankets are sewn by volunteers. Weighted blankets can enhance a person's quality of sleep by reducing anxiety and agitation as well as improve focus and concentration during the day. Approves 20 requests for weighted items per month
