Pays for medical care directly related to accident or illness for those who are injured at work, including stress from a single traumatic event, or development of an occupational disease. Covered medical costs include

Compensates workers a percentage of wages lost due to work-related injury.   Injury must be certified by a doctor as prohibiting worker from returning to their job for a period longer than three days after injury date.   Investigates workers' compensation fraud by workers, health care providers as well as employers.
