Eligibility
Anyone who lives, works or owns a business in Lewis County is eligible to sign-up.
It is especially recommended for those who have unlisted phone numbers, those who have changed their address or phone number in the past year and those who use a cell phone or Voice over Internet Phone (VoIP) as their primary phone.

Provides officials in Lewis County the ability to quickly deliver an emergency action notification message to give citizens specific life saving information such as evacuation and shelter in place for localized and countywide emergencies.
Lewis County Alert can communicate time-sensitive messages via telephone, e-mail and text messages.
Subscribers only receive notices regarding the events that threaten their area.
Households can list multiple numbers/email and the message will go to the first number/email provided.
If there is no response, then the system will go down to the next number/email on the list.
