ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages offered at Sound Learning

Staff and trained volunteers provide classes - small group instruction, combined with distance assignments & videos to adult and out of school youth age 16 + immigrants who want to develop their reading, writing, math, speaking and listening skills.  Instruction focuses on students' goals and priorities and includes digital literacy, employabiltiy and career exploration skills.

Fee

$25 per quarter. A waiver policy is in place for those who are unemployed or receiving public assistance.

Eligibility

For individuals who have been officially released from high school or are 18 years of age or older.

Sound Learning

Sound Learning is a quality adult education organization that provides distance and in-person instruction in small group classes for adults and out of school youth (16+) in Basic studies: GED prep, High School + Diploma, academic skill improvement, and English for Speakers of Other Languages. Computer skills are integrated into instruction.   We also offer tutoring for individuals who want to brush up on their skills in order to prepare for job training or the next step on their vocational or educational journey or to prepare for U.S. Citizenship. Trained volunteers and staff work as a team to provide customized instruction at a range of levels.
