Eligibility

Must be a City of Tacoma resident. Must be the home owner (homes that are for sale are not eligible). Must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. Visit the website for current income guidelines.

Call or email for more information, or for an application. Residents in the city limits, but east of Pacific Ave, may need to contact Pierce County's program. Funds are first come, first served.

Provides for the repair or replacement of a failed component in homes of Tacoma Residents that have a moderate or low income. Loan amounts can range from $15,000-$60,000. Loans are low interest (1%), and, depending on the condition and income status of the homeowner, may not require a monthly payment. Those who are under 50% Area Median Income and a senior (62+) or disabled, may qualify for a zero percent deferred loan. Loan can be used for things like: - roofs - exterior and interior painting - window replacement - carpeting and flooring replacement - heating and air system replacement - electrical work - sewer repair or installation - termite or pest repair - exterior work such as sidewalks, driveways, curbs, gutter, hand rails or ramps - door and window screen repair or placement - foundation or structural repairs - fencing and retaining walls.
