Application process
Parents, families, child care providers, and medical providers can all make a referral to the Birth-to-3 Program when there is a concern about a child’s development. Once a referral is received by the Early Intervention team, a Family Resource Coordinator (FRC) will contact the family within 3 days of receiving the referral in order to gather more information and to assist the family with completing a developmental screening. The screening is used to determine and discuss further evaluation and whether the child could benefit from early intervention services. Parental concerns and ideas are primary to the program development and implementation. The team will work in partnership with parents to design and implement a program that is individual to each child and family needs.
