Extreme Weather Shelter offered at Salvation Army - Bremerton

November 1-Early 2025 Provides a warm place to stay over the winter months. All persons may arrive at the shelter. All persons entering the shelter will be asked to sign in. There will not be a background check performed. All belongings will be checked in. No one will be looking at what you check, however if you elect to keep something on your person such as a weapon or contraband it would be cause for you to be asked to leave and may be turned over to law enforcement. You may keep things needed for the night like a teddy bear, book, or medications. While in the shelter there will be no use of drugs or alcohol and smoking will only be allowed off property in designated areas before 8:45pm. Guests are expected to follow the basic rules of conduct, no fighting or disturbing others while you are in the shelter and will be asked to leave if you do not follow shelter rules. No food will be served at the shelter, but beverages will be available.

Daily, Check in between 7pm-8:45pm.

Application process

All guests may arrive at the shelter between 7pm-8:45pm. Doors close at 9pm. EMS or law enforcement may drop off people in need of shelter after 9pm.

Eligibility

No restrictions.  Accepts men, women, youth, and families.  Pets are allowed, but must be kept in a provided kennel. Everyone is expected to maintain themselves and their animals at all times

Emergency assistance with utilities, if finance is available, toiletries, and other basics for low income individuals and families .This agency also has a free breakfast, lunch and dinner served 7 days a week until may 1s,2025. they will serve breakfast at 8am and Lunch at 12 noon and dinner at 5pm.  The food bank for commodities is open Tuesday and Thursday 2-5pm. Clothing bank is not open at this time but some clothes is handed out, if available, M-F in the Hygiene center
