Located on the 2nd floor of the ReMax building at the roundabout. Parking is behind the building next to the 2nd floor entrance.

Eligibility

Serves kinship families in Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. Kinship families are formed when grandparents or other relatives care for children whose own parents are unable to care for them. The arrangement can be informal and private; in other situations, the local child welfare agency is involved.

Description

Offers information, support and financial assistance to kinship families. Coordinates support groups with area kinship caregivers. Provides limited funding once a year to assist with basic needs such as - Food, clothing, transportation, household items - School uniforms, supplies, field trips, band instruments - Sports and youth activity registrations, fees, uniforms, tutoring - One-time help with rent or utilities to prevent eviction or shut-off - Tutoring or transition counseling

O3A'S multidimensional approach includes both direct and contracted service delivery; community outreach with disease prevention and health promotion; and strategies to increase access to medical, health care, and supportive services.
