Village Vans offered at Intercity Transit

Provides free transportation to help passengers gain and maintain employment. This service helps passengers overcome transportation barriers for up to one year. Barriers include but are not limited to: A bus ride that takes one hour or more. Walking ¾ mile or more between the bus stop and the destination. No sidewalk access or alternative paths between the bus stop and location. Rides are provided Monday - Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm.

Application process

Call to schedule a ride from 24 hour message line 360-705-5840 or book through the Get2Work App, available in the App Store and Google Play. It is best to schedule rides several days in advance if possible.

Passengers must complete an eligibility process before being approved to use this service. Qualified, low-income and who is looking for work, currently employed, or in school can use this service.

Intercity Transit

Provides public transportation services in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and Yelm. Bus routes serve major worksites, medical facilities, shopping centers, and schools. Express service to Lakewood connects with Pierce and Sound Transit services. All buses accommodate people who use mobility devices. All buses accommodate bicycles. Connections to Mason and Grays Harbor are also available at the Olympia Transit Center. Dial-A-Lift provides transportation for people with disabilities that prevent them from using fixed-route bus service. Intercity Transit also operates Vanpool service for commuters and Village Vans provides transportation for employment-related activities to people with low incomes. Community Vans provides vans, by reservation, for qualified non-profit and government agencies.
