Rent Assistance offered at The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul St. Michael Conference (Olympia)

Eligibility
Those who are at risk of being evicted due to inability to pay financially. Typically assistance given one time over a 12 month period. Contingent upon leaser/manager/owner agreeing to not evict tenant and accepting a pledge where check will be mailed to valid mailing address in name of legal owner or representative. If living in Yelm/Rainier/Tenino, please first contact the St. Columban Conference of St. Vincent de Paul who covers these areas. If living in Shelton, please contact the St. Edwards Conference of St. Vincent de Paul in Shelton for assistance.

Application process
Requests for home visitation may be made at any time by calling and leaving a message. Include:
  • name (please say and spell slowly first and last name),
  • address,
  • phone number and
  • brief description of need.
Calls will be returned to set up assistance as soon as possible either by phone or if COVID protocols allow and parties agree, by two Vincentian volunteers.

Assistance with rent up to approximately $200 to $500 when funds are available and neighbor seeking assistance meets qualification requirements.   Assistance given one time over a 12 month period. No cash. Checks mailed to verified legal property owners/Corporations. Note: Funds are allocated monthly and distributed on a first come, first serve basis until they are exhausted.
