Street Youth Drop In Center offered by YMCA of Greater Seattle at University Family YMCA

Operates a drop-in center for street-involved youth ages 13-25. Offers a meal, a clothing closet, showers and an opportunity to take care of other personal hygiene issues.  Showers are equipped with rails. There is no step up into the shower, and staff can provide a shower chair if needed. Provides all hygiene items including shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brush, combs, etc.   Also offers resource information about other service providers in the University District.

Eleven regional YMCA branches provide after-school programming for youth, child care programs, older adult programs, and programs for families and youth. Two branches serve a community supper once a week. University Family YMCA operates a street youth drop-in center which also offers hygiene items and services. Auburn location offers smoking cessation workshops.
