Description
Offers emergency food assistance to low income residents primarily of Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula. Also has a small clothing bank and at times may have household items. Provides services in a well-designed facility to make it easy, safe and comfortable for neighbors to: - “Shop” for a variety of nutritional food choices including more fresh food - Privately explain their financial needs or educational goals - Select gently used clothes, household items and toys - Learn about nutrition, budgeting and other steps needed to become self-sufficient. Food Bank visitors may come up to 2 times each month based on family food needs. Quantities of groceries and services is based on family size. Everyone receives food, if needed, on their first visit.
