Federally funded program Head Start, serving low-income families with pre-school children.
Focuses on the needs of the whole child and his or her family.
Offers a pre-school experience while helping parents develop skills as teacher, parent, and advocate for themselves and their child(ren).
Connects families to health, dental, mental health, family and nutrition services.
Families participate in parent engagement activities as well as social services.
Several options of pre-school are available:
- Half-day Preschool: Children attend the pre-school experience 3.5hrs, 4 days per week.
- School Day: Children attend 6.5hrs, 4/5 days per week.
