Subsidized Annual Pass offered by King County Metro Transit's Customer Service Office

Provides fully subsidized annual transit pass to those enrolled in certain state benefit programs to be used on - King County Metro - King County Water Taxi - Access Transportation - Via to Transit - Sound Transit - Seattle Monorail - Seattle Streetcar - Trailhead Direct Provides partially subsidized annual passes (ORCA Lift) to low-income area residents. The subsidized annual pass will cover all trips from Metro to Metro, from Sound Transit to Sound Transit, and from Metro to/from Sound Transit. If a customer uses their subsidized ORCA LIFT card to pay for travel on Community Transit, Pierce Transit, Kitsap Transit, or Everett Transit, standard transfer rules apply for transfers within and between those transit agencies.

Application process

Customers can enroll through the following agencies: - Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) - Public Health - Seattle & King County - Catholic Community Services All eligible customers that enroll in the subsidized annual pass program will need to get a new ORCA LIFT card that will be valid for 2+ years. Subsidized pass credit is up to 12 months.

Eligibility

Customers over the age of 6 with income at or below 80% of the Federal Poverty Level, and who meet these additional criteria: 1. Residence in King, Pierce, or Snohomish counties. 2. Enrollment in one of the following benefit programs: - Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)/State Family Assistance (SFA) - Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) - Aged, Blind, or Disabled Cash Assistance (ABD) - Pregnant Women Assistance (PWA) not WIC or Pregnancy Medical. - Supplemental Security Income (SSI) - Housing & Essential Needs (HEN) ORCA Lift cards are available to households under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Fee

None for fully subsidized. ORCA Lift fare is $1 per ride.
