Must meet income guidelines, have need for decent and affordable home, and be willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity Must have the ability to pay the Habitat mortgage and associated home costs, such as insurance and taxes. Must have lived in Kittitas County for at least one year.

Builds simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowners families through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build more Habitat houses. In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor - sweat equity - into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.
