Eligibility

Homeowners at or below 50% AMI. Serves veterans and surviving spouses at 80% AMI. Must live in coverage area that spans Everett to SeaTac, along the I-5 corridor including parts of Renton. Primarily serves the following:  
  • Adults, ages 65 and older
  • Individuals living with disabilities
  • Families with children under 18
  • Veterans
For veteran homeowners, the income restrictions are at or below 80% AMI

M-F, 9am-5pm.

Application process

Eligible individuals may call for an application or visit/download an application from the website to mail in. Applications are accepted year-round. Individuals are encouraged to schedule before visiting the office - office is not open daily or with a regular schedule.

Offers free home repairs to low income homeowners and nonprofit facilities in the greater Seattle area.   Focuses on repairs that promote health, safety, and independence.   Common repairs include the following:
  • Wheelchair ramps and other accessibility improvements
  • Installation of grab bars to improve safety
  • Plumbing and electrical work
  • Flooring repair or replacement
  • Painting, interior and exterior
  • Window repair or replacement
  • Clutter removal
  • Yard clean-up
Typically unable to do roof replacements, foundation repairs, major sewer, or major electrical (e.g. panel replacement, whole home rewiring). Work is completed primarily by volunteers, sometimes with the involvement of local businesses offering assistance with labor and purchasing or donating materials. Some work performed by contractors when required or when funding is available. Does not offer grants or loans.
