Sexual Assault Emergency Services - Adult/Adolescent offered at Providence St Peter Hospital - Sexual Assault Clinic and Child Maltreatment Center

Hours

8am to 4:30pm from Monday through Friday

Application process

None.

Fees

All sexual assault exams are reimbursed by the Crime Victim's Compensation program.   There is not cost for a medical evaluation to investigate possible sexual assault.

Within 120 hours of assault victim should report immediately to Emergency Department, Providence St. Peter Hospital.   A specially trained, female RN forensic examiner will arrive to give Medical Forensic care and emotional support to the victim.

Physician, nurse practitioners and social workers provide special medical evaluations, consultation and advocacy for children, vulnerable adults and their families.   During business hours staff will triage emergency situations over the phone.   Children can be seen on urgent basis.
