Those between the ages of 15 and 40 who are experiencing a recent onset of symptoms such as paranoia, hallucinations, and social withdrawal.

Description

Helps youth and young adults get accurate diagnoses and timely and effective care for serious mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia and other forms of psychosis. Therapy includes practical strategies based in proven methods supporting healthy functioning and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis as well as Individual Resiliency Training methods. Prescribes medication if appropriate. Offers case management.

Social service staff treat the psychosocial needs of patients, including domestic violence victims, and assist patients with financial applications for public assistance. Patient and Family Resource Center offers health care information. Operates the Consulting Nurse Careline for medical questions and screening.
