Access Transportation at Certification and Eligibility offered by King County Metro Transit at Accessible Services
Provides curb-to-curb shared ride transportation using lift-equipped vans for individuals whose disability prevents use of lift-equipped regular public transit bus service. Riders can request trips no more than seven days in advance of the service. Expect trips to take as long as a bus ride. Also expect to get picked up a little earlier or later so other rider’s trips can be added to the route. Use Access to go anywhere within the same area that the bus or light rail goes. Certified Access riders can also get free trips to transit stops. Some inter-county transportation is available.

Monthly pass: $63. One-way fare: $1. 75. One companion may ride for the same fare as the eligible rider. Additional fare-paying companions are allowed on a space available basis. If an applicant is certified to bring a personal care attendant, the attendant does not pay a fare.
Eligibility
King County residents ages 6 and older who have a disability that prevents independent navigation of ramp or lift equipped regular public transit bus services. If an individual is determined conditionally eligible for Access, those conditions will be considered when any ride request submitted for Access is evaluated. Applicants may need to use regular public transit if the conditions do not prevent the individual from taking the trip on the regular bus. Having a Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP) does not affect eligibility for ACCESS, and the RRFP does not reduce the ACCESS fare.
