Eligibility
Youth ages 13-17 who range from having no history of substance use, some mild experimentation with substances, to youth that have severe substance use challenges. Program is voluntary, and the referred youth must be willing to participate in treatment.

Application process
Certification of need form must be completed by an independent team that includes a physician who has knowledge of the youth’s situation and is competent to diagnose and treat mental illness.

Offers residential, short term stabilization from co-occurring mental health and/or substance use disorders for youth in a secure setting. Typical length of stay is 6 weeks. Also helps youth who need to detox in a safe setting with medical support. Provides group therapy throughout the day for residents as well as weekly sessions of each of the following: individual therapy, family therapy, psychiatry, nursing assessment, and drug and alcohol counseling (if applicable).
