Description

The Corrections Bureau serves the community and criminal justice system by providing safe, secure, humane, and cost effective detention in accordance with constitutional guidelines. Corrections Bureau staff and facilities provide protection to the community through secure detention of both pretrial detainees and those sentenced on criminal matters.

The county's largest law enforcement agency  responsible for enforcing all laws and regulations, preventing crime, investigating criminal activity, apprehending, arresting and detaining suspects, preventing and supressing delinquency and engaging in other activities that protect lives and property and preserve peace in the community.  The Sheriff's Office also manages the county jail and coordinates the Regional Drug and Gang Task Force.
