Employment and Education Department offered by Neighborhood House at Birch Creek Career Center

Provides employment and adult education services to connect community members with meaningful employment at livable wages and other opportunities to build critical skills. Employment case managers and economic empowerment coaches help set goals and viable steps to achieve them. Partners with local community colleges and other partners to connect individuals to vocational training, internship programs, and help with job placement.

Eligibility

Low-income individuals (age 18 and older) that lives in King County. Priorities are given to participants who are veterans and/or receiving basic food.

Offers bilingual case management, parenting classes, ESL/citizenship classes, early learning programs, after-school youth tutoring and job search assistance and training. Also provides rental and housing assistance, family caregiver support, and HIV/Hep C/substance abuse prevention, counseling, testing and treatment.
