Focus Population

50-hour course covers all the main topics of business planning, including:
  • market planning (pricing, identifying the ideal customer, marketing channels, competition & industry),
  • financial planning (financial statements, basic accounting concepts, cash flow planning),
  • operations (legal entity, taxes, record keeping, operational systems, liability & insurance),
  • and more in a series of classes over an 8 week period.
Participants gain practical, hands-on experience in developing a business plan. Trainers create an atmosphere of trust where sharing is encouraged and creative problem-solving can occur. Participants learn how to effectively give and receive honest feedback, improve their financial literacy skills, confidence, and self-esteem, and the business knowledge they need to take the next step with their entrepreneurial goals. Attending a 1 hour info session and a 2-day Business Readiness Workshop are prerequisites for the Business Planning Program
