Shelter and Support Services for Abused Women offered at Family Renewal Shelter
Offers confidential emergency shelter and support services for abused women with or without children. Legal referral and advocacy-based counseling available to residents. Housing, food, clothing, case management, on-site pet therapy animals and other resources are also provided. Kennel and veterinarian services are available for residents' pets. Transportation is provided for intake and emergency appointments; also facilitates relocation of high-risk victims. Residents may also receive donated cars, minor car repairs.

Eligibility
Serves high-risk abused women with or without children. Priority given to the most severe cases of abuse. Cannot serve clients with severe psychiatric problems or active drug/alcohol addiction. Photo ID is required of adults. ID such as birth certificates and social security cards are required of children, to prove relationship to the parent. Documentation of domestic violence history may be required, on a case-by-case basis. Focuses on residents of Pierce, King, Thurston and Kitsap counties, but will accept anyone in high risk danger.
