Eligibility
People of all genders who work late-night jobs.   Income must be less than $18,000 per year.   Must be sober and willing to participate in a self-managed shelter program.   Cannot serve those convicted of a sex offense; those with other criminal offenses may apply.
Application process
Call for more information. Availability can fluctuate based on demand since this is a self-managed shelter program. When space is available, bus tickets are then provided to screened participants for transportation to The Bunkhouse. Bunkhouse organizational meeting times vary.

Provides self-managed daytime shelter for 25 adults who work late-night jobs and need somewhere to sleep during the day.   Shelter building (The Bunkhouse) is located in Seattle's Rainier Valley neighborhood. Men and women sleep in separate areas within the building.   Provides shelter clients with:  
  • Kitchen space
  • Showers
  • Coin-operated laundry
  • Lockers
  • TV room
Weekly house meeting is required, and all residents share in taking care of chores.   Sobriety is required on site.   No maximum length of stay. Building is wheelchair accessible.
