Short-Term Overnight Shelter offered by Janus Youth Programs at Access Center
Provides short-term overnight shelter, two meals per day and cleanup facilities for 30 homeless and street dependent youth attempting to make changes in their lives. Youth may access clothing, medical assistance, and employment education support.

Youth are referred from community agencies (Outside In, New Avenues for Youth, Native American Youth and Family Center, and Janus Access Center).

Eligibility
Displaced youth ages 16-24. Youth must be working with a case manager on a plan in order to access a bed on a continuing basis.

Janus Youth Programs
Operates community-based programs in Oregon and Washington for children and youth and their families. A network of over 40 programs includes runaway and homeless youth services in the form of street outreach, 24-hour access and assessment, emergency and short-term shelter, family reunification, transitional housing, and independent living services; residential and shelter services for youth in the custody of the Oregon Youth Authority and Oregon's child welfare system; a scholarship program for former clients; and an urban agriculture program. Face-to-face contacts with runaway and homeless youth are completed through an all-volunteer street outreach program on the streets every night.
