Those who have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or are still serving active military duty honorably.

Website connects veterans and active duty families to their nearest American Legion post for financial assistance grants, help with obtaining veteran benefits, and opportunities to provide service to the community. American Legion Service Officers are available to guide veterans through VA disability benefits applications, and offer resources for education and employment. Local American Legion posts award cash grants to minor children of current active duty or American Legion members. These grants help families in need meet the cost of shelter, food, utilities and health expenses.
