Individuals and groups interested in 'adopting' a family for the holidays. Families in need of adoption are from the Abused Deaf Women's Advocacy Services (ADWAS) transitional housing program, A Place of Our Own, which houses parents who are survivors of domestic violence and their children.  Callers decide what size family they wish to 'adopt,' then ADWAS supplies a wish list provided by a family in their program.
