Website indicates whether the farmers market accepts WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program & Fruit & Vegetable Benefits, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, SNAP, SNAP Market Match, Fresh Bucks or Other benefits.   Contact information is also provided for each farmers market.   To use an EBT card at a Farmers Markets, go to the Market information booth, tell the staff how much money you would like to spend, and they will swipe your EBT card for the amount you request.   Users will then be given tokens for the amount to buy fresh produce and other foods at the Market.   Some farmers markets participate in the SNAP Market Match (and Fresh Bucks in Seattle), which matches a certain amount of SNAP with tokens or other market currency that can used to buy fruit and vegetables at the farmers market. Amount varies by farmers market. Participating markets are located in several counties throughout the state.

Callers are referred to the St. Vincent de Paul volunteers in their area who may do a home visit to determine need.  Financial services are provided through a vouchering system.  Not all services are offered in all areas.

Provides lower income seniors with an electronic benefits card that will be used to purchase $80 in fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs at approved farmers markets and farm stores throughout Washington State.

Provides limited basic needs and financial assistance to eligible applicants needing help as result of a current or recent (within 6 months) intimate partner abuse situation. Services are confidential. Provides financial assistance based on funding availability with: - Utility bill arrears - Housing: funds for landlord applications and move-in costs subject to funders guidelines while funds last. No rental assistance is available. - Food/Grocery items - Basic Clothing - Hygiene items/Toiletries - Prescriptions - Eyeglasses - Bus tickets/ Transport - Diapers - Baby formula   - Other infant needs Language interpretation is available in person or over the phone.

Assists indigent veterans in need of urgent assistance. Types of assistance that may be available: - Utilities assistance to prevent shut-off. - Food and necessary items for hygiene and health - Rent or Mortgage assistance - Burial assistance - Catastrophic Emergencies as determined on an individual basis Assists with VA Claims for disability, health, and burial benefits, including payment to Veterans who got sick or injured while serving in the military and to Veterans whose service made an existing condition worse.

Provides gas vouchers, food vouchers or laundry vouchers for those our neighbors in need who qualify, by completing an intake, over the phone, through the Connection Center. Gas/Food Vouchers, every 6 months, upon approval. Laundry Vouchers, every 3 months, but only twice per year.

Emergency food vouchers available on a quarterly basis to Skagit County residents who are eligible to receive services from the Swinomish Tribe. One per household.

St. Vincent de Paul of Tacoma–Pierce County operates two service hubs that together provide a continuum of care for community members experiencing crisis, instability, or homelessness. The Community Resource Center, serves individuals and couples across Pierce County. The CRC offers walk-in access five days a week with no appointment required. Services include immediate basic-needs support such as food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and survival gear, as well as housing and shelter navigation for those experiencing homelessness. Case managers also provide assistance with mental health and substance use supports, and offer specialized navigation for Native and bilingual community members. The Family Resource Center, focuses on families with children, multigenerational households, and young adults ages 18–24. The FRC provides bilingual case management and resource navigation tailored to family and young-adult needs, including for Hispanic and immigrant populations. The site also offers on-site showers and laundry for unhoused households, along with comprehensive housing and shelter navigation designed to help families achieve stability. The Community Resource Center does not provide direct rental assistance.

Provides emergency funding and assistance with claims to the VA for veterans and their dependents. Works in partnership with Skagit County Public Health. Types of financial assistance include - Food, gas, & clothing - Utilities with disconnect notice - Mortgage, rental, security deposit - Transportation assistance Also assists with getting discharge documents/DD-214 requests, case management, budgeting, and referrals to additional services.

Provides support and limited emergency financial assistance, including help with food and utility bills.

Helps low-income veterans or spouses of veterans with funeral expenses, utilities, rent/housing, emergency medical expenses, food vouchers, gas vouchers, and applying for VA benefits. Funeral assistance is up to $1,000. Rent/Housing assistance up to $1,000 or 75% of rent, whichever is lower. Other expenses are up to $500.

Provides emergency assistance with food, rent and utilities to qualified, low-income veterans and family members. Funding for rental and utility assistance is typically available at the beginning of the month. Limited assistance with medical/dental and other miscellaneous services is also available on an emergency need basis. Helps a veteran with their prescriptions once a year. Also provides burial assistance for a veteran, their spouse, or a dependent child under the age of 18. Service Officers available by appointment to help veterans submit disability/benefit claims. Help is provided once a year for two years, then the veteran has to wait a year before they can get help again (ex: a veteran got help in 2020 and 2021, had to wait out 2022 then could get help again in 2023).

Assistance with emergency, temporary, or short term needs. Assistance provided is **never** given in cash, but may be given as vouchers or as checks mailed directly to a landlord or utility company. Does not offer a food pantry.

Provides a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child that will be deposited onto new SUN Bucks cards and mailed beginning in early June each year to be used to purchase food, similar to SNAP. SUN Bucks do expire and are removed from the card 122 days after they are first issued. The Public Charge rule does not apply to SUN Bucks benefits and will not impact immigration status.

Kinship Caregivers Support Services Program provides financial assistance to kinship caregivers (grandparents and relatives raising children) and assists them in obtaining resources necessary to help stabilize the family.   We can help pay for the cost of emergent needs incurred by grandparents or other relatives at the time a child comes to live with them, such as:   Clothing purchase   Food   Basic Supplies   Housing   Childcare   Relocation costs   Utility assistance
