Engaging university-trained volunteers to empower and sustain diverse communities with relevant, unbiased, research-based horticulture and environmental stewardship education. Helps to solve gardening issues and provide research-based advice to the public.  Volunteers regularly operate gardening and diagnostic clinics throughout the summer season.

Provides education to residential consumers regarding small tree fruits, vegetable gardening, composting, stone fruits, ornamentals, etc.; via brochures and other printed material, individual telephone consultation, and community clinics which are presented at nurseries throughout Snohomish County.

Provides free information on gardening by phone, email, or in person. Residents can bring their plants in during business hours if they have questions. Visit website for clinic schedules. Clinics also provide pest and weed control information. Master Gardeners are also available for consultation at many public events, offer a free Speakers Bureau, and free youth garden education. Attend free classes and visit the Master Gardeners at the Puyallup and Gig Harbor Demonstration Gardens in the summer. Also accepting volunteers.

Offers free and low cost services such as: - conservation planning, - soil testing, - equipment rentals, - cost share and technical assistance with conservation issues throughout the county. Also offers a variety of educational tours and workshops, some topics include: - pasture management, - nutrient management, - noxious weed ID and removal, - native plant ID, - shoreline living, - prairie habitat and more. Hosts several volunteer events, including the annual Native Plant Sale and restoration work parties throughout the community. Home to South Sound GREEN, a watershed education program for students grades 4-12.

WSU Jefferson County Extension advances the knowledge, addresses the issues and provides access to education that is relevant, timely and inspiring and that allows our community to adapt and remain vigorous. Programs include:  - Economic Development  - Small Farms  - 4-H Youth Development  - Master Gardeners  - Water and Natural Resources  - Forestry and Energy.   WSU Extension provides educational support and advocacy to families, children, businesses, non-profits, governmental agencies, individuals and more!

Connects people with low incomes to the resources and support they need to grow fresh food. Works alongside volunteers and new gardeners to construct 35+ home and community gardens each year. Workshops and other trainings/supports are included.
