Earn While You Learn offered at Trillium Women's Center
Offers a support program for pregnant women and families of infants and toddlers. Participating in parenting education and mentoring gives clients "credits" for baby food, formula, diapers, clothing and car seats.
Offers ongoing support for pregnant women and their partners, and parenting families of infants and toddlers. Parenting education is provided one on one with a trained parenting advocate. Once enrolled, a client works with their parenting advocate to choose a curriculum best suited to their needs and interests. PREPARES Baby Supply Bags: provides basic baby supplies, based on the age of the child and can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books, and toys.
Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles.
Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language.
Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child. Vision: All children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential.

Essential Needs:

Parenting Classes:
- Circle of Security teaches parents to identify, understand and respond to their child's emotional needs. The 8-week course is offered quarterly for caregivers of children aged six months to five years.
- Baby Care 101 is a course providing expectant and newly parenting caregivers education and tools to learn how to care for their new baby.
- Toddler Care 202 is an interactive parenting series that covers child development, nutrition, sleep, potty-training, and more.
- Also offers an interactive music class for children ages birth-5 to attend with their caregiver.
Pregnancy and Parenting Support:
Offers a weekly drop-in social support group for moms with children up to age 5. Childcare is provided.
Offers parents the opportunity to have parent support, goal setting, and community resources to help them be the parent they want to be with support from our compassionate circle of security-trained case manager.
Families with children ages 3-5 can access Education Support to work on kindergarten readiness. Adults may receive ESL support.
