Water Well Construction/Maintenance/Abandonment Permits

Programs that are responsible for planning how the land within a local may be used by drafting and obtaining public approval for a general plan (also known as a comprehensive, master or official plan) that provides policies and objectives that guide long-term development throughout the jurisdiction and specific/area plans (sometimes called community, neighborhood or secondary plans) that address the future of specific neighborhoods or other smaller geographic areas in greater detail. Drinking Water Program offered at  Northeast Tri County Health District

The purpose of the drinking water program is to help ensure the safety and adequacy of drinking water, both for private and public supplies. Includes monitoring, technical assistance and inspecting community water supply, responds to complaints and inquiries, provides owners of private water systems technical assistance about drinking water safety.

Programs that conduct tests of the drinking water that is available to people in their homes or other buildings to detect the presence of hazardous chemicals or other pollutants, and to analyze water composition in terms of softness, odor, color and contaminants (including chemicals such as magnesium sulphate, sodium sulphate and sodium chloride) that, while harmless, affect taste. Tests may be conducted by the authority responsible for the water system or by independent companies. Also available are test kits which can be used in the home for this purpose.

Programs that accept and, where possible, attempt to resolve complaints regarding the rates, services, equipment, unethical or improper conduct of personnel or other inappropriate business practices of companies that provide water to homes and businesses.
