Provides reentry services including: - Peer mentoring/One on One - Housing search assistance - Job connections - Education - Legal services - Transportation - Weekly phone conference call for people transitioning from incarceration - Monthly community circle for people who are formerly incarcerated and people who have never been incarcerated to support each other and connect - Nonviolent communication training, practice and leadership development. - Men's Healing Circle

Available to Medicaid recipients who have struggled with mental health and/or addiction, currently or in their past who are looking for support to get back into the workforce, start a new career or seek out educational opportunities.

Compiles critical services into brochures and packets for use by the public. Emergency Services Brochures list shelters, food resources, and related emergency services information and are available for viewing or download at the Crisis Connections website.   Reentry Assistance Packet offers up-to-date information on resources for anyone currently under supervision by the criminal justice system, including anyone with a sex offense on their record, as well as anyone experiencing a barrier to essential needs due to a prior conviction or record.

Helps formerly incarcerated people transition successfully into college. Connects students to essential services. Provides supportive guidance as students make progress through their academic journey, and successfully exit into the labor force. Offers pre- and post-release assistance including - Entry application guidance - College system orientation and navigation - Financial aid coaching - Academic program exploration - Career exploration - Class registration - Mentoring

The ACLU-WA participates in "impact litigation" designed to protect civil rights and civil liberties for large numbers of Washington residents. Does NOT typically provide legal representation to individual complainants and is not a general legal services provider. Through the Information and Referral Program (IRP), DOES provide: - "Know your rights" and legal self-help literature - Referrals to appropriate agencies and organizations In some areas of ACLU emphasis, is able to provide limited advocacy or more specialized advice. The ACLU is particularly active in the following issue areas: - Freedom of expression and freedom of religion - Police practices and accountability - Student rights, school discipline, and education issues - LGBTQ issues - Voting rights - Houseless issues - Sentencing reform - Health Care - Technology and Privacy
