This is the office that provides probation, detention, diagnostic evaluation, diversion, guardian ad litems, outpatient drug and alcohol treatments, prevention services for at-risk youth and truancy services for youth and families who have been ordered into services by the court.

Provides one-on-one services to youth, aged 12 to 24 years old, residing in King County at risk of involvement/involved in the King County juvenile justice system. We partner with several public school districts and King County's re-engagement programs to keep youth in school. Youth Advocates mentor youth providing reliable adult mentorship educational path in order for them to beat truancy, graduate, seek post-secondary options and work in a career of their choice.

Ensures the safety of the community and the well-being of the youths under Juvenile department care. Holds juvenile offenders accountable to victims and communities, and assist youths in developing competency and character to aid them in becoming successful members of society.

Helps youth and families navigate the school and court systems, coordinates and connects them to needed services such as educational support, housing, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, employment, and positive youth development activities.   Case Managers also provide outreach and advocacy, as well as culturally and linguistically appropriate support services.   They create linkages for youth and families, maintain regular contact with youth, and monitor youth progress towards reaching individual service goals.

Empowers participants to aspire to the highest quality of life by helping develop life skills, providing support and connecting clients to direct services.   Assists participants and motivates them to become self-sufficient through direct access to education, employment, readiness, treatment, mental health care and housing stability options.

Provides counseling, diversion, restitution, community service, school program, urinalysis, assistance for at-risk youth and detention service.

Offers a variety of services, including mental health and substance use disorder prevention and intervention. Located in all Mercer Island public schools. Services include confidential mental health counseling, classroom presentations, alcohol/drug interventions, prevention, and referrals, and life skills training and crisis intervention. There is a full-time counselor available in each public school.

Offers an arts-based, social justice program for youth and young adults.   Participants collaborate with mentor artists in 16-week long sessions, meeting two times a week to dialogue, create, and share a meal. At the end of each session, youth lead and produce community-based events and actions where they share their creativity, vision, and new abilities. Rather than penalizing youth for being late or missing a class, program focuses on using incentives like stipends, relationships with mentor artists, and content relevant to their lives to keep participants engaged.   Has an agreement with the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office allowing program enrollment to be used as mitigation in achieving positive court-case outcomes. Additional programming is offered through monthly gatherings and special projects guided by the program's Youth Leadership Board.   Participation on this board offers a way for youth to stay involved after program completion, access continued learning opportunities, and build on their leadership skills. Monthly Leadership Gatherings are held on Saturdays from February through November at venues throughout King County.
